IEDCO Makes Accurate Batching Simple And Easy

At the heart of almost every system is the need to accurately weigh, or batch, one or more ingredients for further processing. At the heart of the batching system is the feeder. IEDCO has developed extremely accurate batching systems using a sanitary rotary valve.

IEDCO has installed many batching systems over the years that have used pinch valves, screw feeders or vibratory feeders. However, we have recently eliminated all such feeders from our batching systems and replaced them with Sanitary Rotary Valves. We have successfully integrated rotary valves into our batching systems and have achieved batching accuracies of +/- 0.00 kg! No other feeder we have found matches the Rotary Valve in accuracy, low maintenance or value.

Unlike traditional rotary valves, our Rotary Valve operates by reciprocating back and forth through 180 degrees rather than a full 360 degrees. This movement allows for "pulsing" of the valve to release minute amounts of product during the "dribble", or final, phase of discharging.
