Improving The Media Fill Inspection Process
Source: Lighthouse Instruments
Media fills are an integral part of parenteral manufacturing processes to demonstrate that produced vials are free of microbial contamination. A manual visual inspection of media fill vials by operators is a time and labor-intensive process and is also subjective. This poster describes an approach for detecting microbial contamination in media fill vials using laser-based headspace analysis. This approach is analytical, can be automated, and can be quantitatively validated.
