SHL Medical, winner of the Delivery and Device Innovation Award, highlighted the increasing demand for advanced drug delivery devices, particularly autoinjectors. Their Elexy® electromechanical autoinjector, featuring cellular connectivity and sustainability benefits, exemplified the industry's move toward reusable, connected solutions. SHL also noted a shift toward higher-volume subcutaneous injectables (3-5 mL) and the evolving role of drug delivery devices as a market differentiator.
Kymanox echoed the event’s success, emphasizing collaboration across the value chain to accelerate regulatory approvals and commercialization. Discussions focused on emerging drug delivery technologies, regulatory challenges, and sustainable packaging solutions. Kymanox advocated for electronic Instructions for Use (IFUs) and sustainable packaging materials to reduce waste.
Both companies emphasized the growing importance of partnerships to address industry challenges, including clinical trial uncertainties, capacity constraints, and regulatory compliance. As injectable drug formulations continue to expand, close collaboration between pharma, biotech, and device manufacturers will be essential.
Pharmapack 2025 reinforced the industry's commitment to innovation, sustainability, and efficiency, setting the stage for future advancements in drug delivery and patient care.
