Jacobus to Feature Plant Modeling and Construction Simulation Technology at A/E/C SYSTEMS '98

Jacobus Technology (Gaithersburg, Md.) a Bentley Strategic Affiliate, will demonstrate the Version 2 release of its PlantSpace Design Series at A/E/C SYSTEMS '98, to be held June 3-5 at McCormick Place in Chicago, Ill.

PlantSpace Design Series, Version 2 brings new functionality to the 3D plant modeling process with enhancements to parametric piping and equipment modeling and quantity takeoffs. The system enables users to import plant data from other plant design systems-including PDS, PDMS, OMNI, and AutoPlant-into its Advanced Modeling System (AMS) database.

In conjunction with PlantSpace's open data capabilities, Jacobus will demonstrate its advances in supporting the STEP AP227, part of ISO 10303 (STEP), which specifies an application protocol (AP) for the exchange of the spatial configuration information of process plants, including piping system components and other related plant systems. Presenters will use PlantSpace Enterprise Navigator to review an entire plant 3D model comprising many data formats, and will use PlantSpace Design Series, which interprets PlantSTEP data, to edit the model.

Jacobus Technology provides applications for computer-aided plant design and engineering, 3D real-time design review, project management, information management, and global engineering on the Internet and corporate intranets/extranets.
