One of the many lessons learned from the challenges of 2020 is the value of agility. Organizations, businesses and industries that maintained nimble supply chains through the uncertainty COVID-19 not only managed short-term risks and disruptions, but are also in a position to meet new market conditions for 2021 and years ahead.
While agility is often associated with speed, and speed is certainly an aspect of agility, supply chain agility speaks to much more. More accurately, it is the ability to adapt both quickly and easily to constantly changing conditions – and 2020 had its fair share of those.
