Koch Membrane Systems Introduces Membrane Storage Solution

Koch Membrane Systems, Inc. (KMS), a world-class developer and manufacturer of innovative membrane filtration systems, announces its KOCHKLEEN MSS solution, the newest technology from the industry's leading membrane cleaner and pre-treatment chemical supplier. This solution is specifically formulated to protect membranes during off-line or long-term storage. KMS membrane and chemical experts developed and tested the KOCHKLEEN MSS solution to reduce system turnaround time following planned or unplanned system shutdowns.

KOCHKLEEN MSS solution is a proprietary blend of anionic surfactant and organic acids specially formulated to prevent inorganic scale build-up and to both wet and maintain the electrolyte balance on the membrane surface. The surfactant helps the organic acids to penetrate and protect the membrane pores during storage. The solution rinses easily, dramatically reducing the cleaning cycle time and water use when filtration systems are brought back on-line.

KOCHKLEEN MSS solution is commonly used in food, dairy, beverage, potable water, industrial wastewater and general in-process applications and is compatible with most membrane types, including reverse osmosis (RO), nanofiltration (NF), ultrafiltration (UF) and microfiltration (MF) membranes, and all membrane configurations.

The product is phosphorus-free, and is suitable for incidental contact with food processing equipment. It is environmentally friendly, odorless, and non-corrosive toward 304 and 316 stainless steel, aluminum, and most plastic and rubber materials commonly used in processing equipment.

KMS offers a complete line of membrane cleaners and antiscalants formulated by the same scientists and engineers who develop and support KMS membranes. Along with KOCHKLEEN MSS solution, the KOCHKLEEN membrane cleaners and the KOCHTREAT antiscalants help prolong membrane life and enhance membrane performance.
