La Jolla Pharmaceutical Names Peter Ulrich Executive VP

La Jolla Pharmaceutical Company (San Diego, Calif.) has promoted Peter G. Ulrich to executive vice president. He joined La Jolla in 1995 as senior vice president for corporate development and marketing and will now also be responsible for clinical development and manufacturing operations.

Ulrich is a twenty-year veteran in healthcare and biotechnology. He spent eight years at Baxter in marketing, sales, and international management capacities, and has been CEO at several early-stage biotechnology companies active in the autoimmune disease and oncology fields. Ulrich received his bachelor's degree from the University of Texas and a master's in International Business Administration from the University of Dallas.
