Label Vision System (LVS) has been in business over 25 years, starting in the repair of consumer electronics and moving to the repair of bar code equipment in 1983. The first LVS customer for bar code equipment repair was Ford Motor Company, which is still an LVS customer 18 years later.

LVS has grown from the repair business to three major divisions:

1) The LVS Products Division provides the expertise for assuring the quality of bar codes. This division has an extremely high level of expertise in the area of verification of bar code quality to ANSI and ISO standards. This is a very complex subject and LVS has an expert team of people with several years of knowledge in verification.

LVS offers both off-line and on-line verification products of our own manufacture as well as from other highly respected verification equipment manufacturers. We also offer the service of independent verification of bar codes. This service will deliver a report of the bar code quality as well what may be the potential "problem" with the bar code so corrective action can be implemented. If it needs to be verified, LVS has the knowledge and the product.

The LVS Products Division also provides our Data Verification Module (DVM) which is used to amplify the beep from scanners. This is especially helpful in noisy environments or where several scanners with the same tone beep are working together. The DVM is available for scanners with and without cords.

2) The System Integration Division offers the analysis, consulting, training, interfacing, and implementation of various customer needs for software and hardware. Applications that require label printing, validating, traceability, and reporting fit well into the System Integration (SI) division responsibility.

LVS will look at prospect's requirements, utilizing questionnaires and site visits, to determine what is required to meet the prospects objectives. The experienced team of specialists, in the SI division, utilizes any manufacturers products to meet the prospects requirements. LVS is the single source for the integration of diverse manufacturers equipment, software, and interface technology.

3) Repair of bar code equipment is still a growing part of LVS with some very notable customers located throughout North America. The service work is completed on a depot basis in Atlanta (Peachtree City), Georgia where all major brands of bar code scanners and terminals are repaired, both batch and RF.

Cables for the scanners and terminals are also repaired, resulting in reduced costs for our customers. If we are not able to repair the cables, we offer new replacement cables at very competitive prices.

LVS also offers refurbished bar code scanning equipment that comes with a 90-day warranty. This offers significant savings over the purchase of new equipment.

Reading bar codes ink-jet printed on metal cylinders for use in a production work center.

Verifying each bar code printed as readable with a correct check digit at over 1,000 feet per minute.

Reading bar codes laser etched on both highly reflective and matte gray silicon wafers used in IC chip fabrication for silicon wafers.

Verifying that each bar code is a certain quality and matches the batch run for pharmaceutical insert folding and packaging.

Reading a laser marked metal enclosure for product tracking through production.

Verifying bar code labels as they are printed and applied to cartons to make sure they meet ANSI specs and that each box has a label properly applied.

Reading an ink-jet printed UV bar code fluorescing under black light for production and packaging operations tracking.
