ZEREM Inc.low temperature reactors are designed for pharmaceutical processes needing to perform exothermic reactions down to -100°C and lower, while removing energy at these low temperatures. These systems use inert refrigerants at temperatures as low as -268°C and deliver refrigeration directly to the reactor along the vessel wall and within the reaction medium itself. The reactors employ a constant temperature heat transfer cooling design with sustainable cooling rates of 1 to 2°C per minute.
The reactor technology allows a pharmaceutical company to reduce batch reaction times to a fraction of previous unit operations while maximizing homogeneity of the reacting medium. The system provides management of exothermic reactions at a lower temperature gradient. A bulk fluid heat transfer design combined with a super-insulated vacuum jacket eliminates ice build-up on the reactor surface.
