Made-to-order instruments shipped within 24 hours through new Foxboro website

The Foxboro Company (Foxboro, MA) has introduced a new e-commerce site (www.measurementexpress.com) through which popular Foxboro intelligent pressure and temperature transmitters, flowmeters, and analytical instruments are built and shipped directly to registered customers within one business day of receiving the order.

When placed, the order goes directly to the Foxboro Company factory floor and is built to order on a true demand/pull production line. This provides unprecedented service for customers who require high-quality industrial instruments in a hurry.

Products currently available through measurementexpress.com include:

  • I/A Series Intelligent Pressure Transmitters (differential, gauge, and absolute pressure)
  • I/A Series Intelligent Vortex Flowmeters (wafer- or flange-mount)
  • I/A Series Intelligent Temperature Transmitters
  • I/A Series Intelligent Electrochemical Transmitters and Sensors (pH, ORP, conductivity, resistivity)

Additional products and configurations will be added in the near future.

"Measurementexpress.com leverages the power of the Internet plus Foxboro's considerable investment in Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing," said John McKenna, president of Foxboro's worldwide Measurement and Instrument Division. "Together, these enable us to process the order, build high-quality instruments to customer specifications, and then ship the instruments all within one business day. To our knowledge, no other vendor in the industry offers a comparable service."
