Mehta, Beeck Join BASF's North American Pharma Solutions Business

Forham Park, NJ - BASF has appointed Ketan Mehta as Sales Manager and Javier Beeck as Marketing Manager for its Pharma Solutions and Human Nutrition business in North America. Mehta and Beeck are based in Florham Park, N.J.

Mehta, who has more than 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, joins BASF from Rohm Pharma Polymers, a division of Degussa Corporation, Piscataway, N.J., where he was responsible for pharmaceutical polymers in the United States.

Mehta earned a doctorate degree in pharmaceutical sciences from the University of Rhode Island, Kingston, R.I. In addition, he holds a master's degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing from Rutgers University, Livingston, N.J., and a bachelor's degree in pharmacy from the University of Poona in India.

Beeck previously served as Manager, Commodity Polymers with BASF Mexicana, Inc., in Mexico, with responsibility for marketing and sales, and has held various positions in several business units within BASF during a 10-year career.

Beeck earned two master's degrees from Northwestern University, Evanston, Ill., a master's degree in business administration from the J. L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, and a master's degree in engineering management from the Robert R. McCormick School of Engineering. He also holds dual bachelor's degrees in mechanical and management engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester, Mass.
