Scientist Using Pipette GettyImages-1140779660

An MGB:EDQ probe is a single-stranded oligonucleotide labeled with two distinct dyes. A reporter dye is located at the 5' end, and a Minor Groove Binder/Eclipse Dark Quencher is at the 3' end. Through Fluorescence Resonance Energy Transfer (FRET), the quencher molecule inhibits the reporter's natural fluorescence emissions. Explore applications of MGB:EDQ probes as well as the advantages of utilizing these valuable tools for qPCR.
