Mi8 Eases Technology Transition for Boutique Law Firm
After struggling to deal with technology on their own, the firm was recommended to <%=company%>. Mi8's service, providing software over the Internet—which the company calls "Netsourcing"—gave Stacey that sense of reliability that she was looking for, that "invisible group" that was taking care of her communications infrastructure and computer issues.
Mi8 Makes Life Easier
McConnell & Associates needed help
coordinating conference calls, meetings,
and calendars, as well as setting up a
new email system – and they needed to
do this with a mobile work force. Mi8
delivered Microsoft Outlook/Exchange,
a powerful groupware solution that
answered all of the law firms messaging
and collaboration needs. Additionally,
Mi8's Outlook/Exchange solution
supports remote synchronization and
Web-based access for when the
associates are working from a client's
office, an airplane, or anywhere outside
of their own office.
In addition to Netsourcing software for the law firm, Mi8 provided training to both the lawyers and support staff, and Mi8's Customer Care team has always been there to answer questions and to resolve any issues that come up – even if those questions are about connecting to the firm's Internet service, rather than how to use the application. "Mi8 was great," says McConnell. "Neither my staff nor I had used Microsoft Outlook.
A representative from Mi8 came on-site and trained us on how to use the service, which enabled my firm to hit the ground running. And when we have a question, we always know who to call – anytime, day or night."
Through Mi8's Exchange server, McConnell & Associates have access to each other's schedules and calendars, contacts, and task lists, enabling them to schedule meetings and share information. In addition to its Exchange service, Mi8 also delivers virus scanning and nightly backups, another plus for McConnell, as her firm stores all its records at Mi8. "It's definitely made our lives easier," comments McConnell. "I don't worry about day-to-day technology, and instead can focus on taking care of my clients."
