Millions Of Pills: New Tablet Press For Up To One Million Tablets Per Hour

Source: IMA S.p.A.

An Italian-German co-operation brings profit to European pharmaceutical producers. The Synthesis series of tableting machines combines the joint experience of Kilian (Germany) and the mother company IMA (Italy) in powder feeding and compression with the latest in cleaning and isolation technology. The Synthesis Series includes machines with performances of 225,000 tablets/hour to 1,080,000 tablets/hour.

The Synthesis series of tableting machines minimize the non-production time accompanied by high flexibility. The workflow is as follows: Powder is fed to the dies with a force-feed fill shoe. According to the product, different types of distributors can be supplied and adjusted to ensure the optimum filling performance with the most diverse products. Through the use of special seals, the mechanical and the compression areas are completely separated and scaled off, thus preventing product penetration into the lower compartment of the machine.
