Mobile Clinical Lab For Miami Cancer Institute

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Miami Cancer Institute faced a pressing need for rapid and reliable testing capabilities. To address this challenge, Germfree collaborated with the Institute to convert a pharmacy compounding mobile unit into a BSL-2+ mobile clinical lab. This innovative solution enabled in-house COVID-19 testing, crucial for timely patient care and disease surveillance.

Equipped with ventilated air space and laminar flow hoods, the mobile facility provided a safe and efficient environment for molecular testing. Through this partnership, Miami Cancer Institute enhanced its testing capacity, facilitating quicker treatment decisions and patient isolation.
