VA hospitals in the US are undergoing renovations to their pharmacy facilities in order to comply with updated USP <797> and <800> requirements. These requirements necessitate the need for temporary and fully equipped swing spaces to ensure that pharmacy operations can continue uninterrupted. To meet this need, Germfree has developed a fleet of self-sufficient mobile compounding pharmacies.

These mobile facilities have a 5-room layout, which includes positive and negative pressure cleanroom suites. They are equipped with all the necessary equipment and resources to meet the requirements outlined in the updated regulations. Germfree has deployed these mobile pharmacies across the country, including 17 for the VA hospital system.

In addition to providing the mobile facilities, Germfree also offers preventative maintenance and remote monitoring services for these pharmacies. This ensures that the facilities are always in optimal condition and any issues can be addressed promptly.
