The integration of multiple parameters has become as important as being able to perform highly accurate measurements. A multiparameter instrument should be able to integrate density, refractive index, optical rotation, pH, conductivity, color, and turbidity; among the common measurements performed on a daily basis in the laboratory. Besides time savings, integration of multiple parameters can reduce margins of error and improve productivity. By using an autosampler or manual injection, a liquid solution can flow from one instrument to another while simultaneous measurement can take place. However, it is not a simple task when the amount of sample available is limited or when dealing with highly viscous samples.
