Multi-Channel Temperature Logger
Telatemp's new lithium-battery powered multi-point data logger is designed for detailed temperature measurement during process applications.
The Tempest Multi-Channel Temperature Logger accepts input from up to eight Type K enhanced-accuracy thermocouples, stores up to 65,000 data points in its non-volatile memory, then downloads data through an RS-232 serial port for analysis. The compact unit (3.5" x 6.5" x 0.6") has a standard operating range of -40° to 185°F, but when used with the Tempest "glove" can withstand ambient temperatures up to 350°F for as long as 10 minutes. The optional 500/120 enclosure allows the device to operate in ambient temperatures up to 500°F or as low as -100°F for up to two hours, making it well suited for both oven curing and cryogenic applications.
The Tempest has a user-selectable sampling rate of from 1 second to 24 hours. Data Logger temperature accuracy is ±0.3% of full scale with clock accuracy of 0.002%.
Software for the system features a simple point-and-click user interface as well as a convenient Process Definition Template, which allows user-defined test parameters to be saved and recalled. Data collected by the system can be output as graphs or reports to a printer, or exported to popular spreadsheet, database or word processor programs. The Tempest Tools Software allows sophisticated 3D graphing and axis rotation as well as a selection of pre-formatted reports.
