New Stickpack Filler MSP560

The new stickpack filler MSP560 for packaging powders is one of the innovations by Marchesini ready to succeed on the international market.

The machine, which is installed in-line with a cartoning machine MA80, has a robotic and integrated stacking unit that picks up the stickpacks and transfers them to the cartoner.

Compactness and maximum ergonomics
Compared to other machines on the market, the MSP560 is extremely compact: the film path in particular is very simple and easy to manage, with extensive access from the front. This last feature is indeed important to make the operator's work much easier. Furthermore, the machine is easily installed in any environment. The MSP560 allows the operator to change the reel very quickly and easily and to gain direct access to the packaging process.

Utmost efficiency and precision
Reel feeding – The machine is equipped with an automatic material centring system: a sensor detects the position of the paper while the film is unwound and feeds back appropriate information to correct the position accordingly. This factor is extremely important because the material must always be perfectly centred with the machine's movements, and consequently positioned perfectly, to prevent incorrect processing. The machine therefore automatically corrects the position of the film.

In brief: the film that produces the sticks is kept centred to the forming stations by an automatic system that re-positions it based on the readings fed back by an optical sensor. This system guarantees utmost uniformity in the productive quality, whatever the type of packaging material is used.

Printing unit – The reel is printed as it is unwound: there are various types of printing systems.

Powder feeding – The volumetric bucket dosing unit is easily accessible and the whole unit can be lifted and moved quite simply. This feature ensures maximum simplicity and speed for cleaning and maintenance operations.

Furthermore, it is quite easy to carry out the calibration for dosing the buckets internally and externally, as well as the possibility of dosing operation with feeding scrolls.

Material cutting – The machine cuts the material vertically by means of pneumatic contrast cutters, with adjustable pressure.

Horizontal sealing units – The size unit is easily replaced as a whole block, guaranteeing absolute operational simplicity and speed for cleaning and maintenance operations or even when replacing with a second unit to change size.

Vertical sealing units – The sealer is remarkably compact and ensures uniform pressure on every single channel. It is also accessible from the front of the machine and is opened quickly, ensuring outstanding operational simplicity and speed for cleaning and maintenance operations.

Tensioning unit – This patented unit represents an ideal solution, due to its simplicity, for stickpacks with uniform forming tension and controlled quantity of air.

Horizontal stick cutting unit – The cut can be defined based on the customer's needs and easily changed: shaped, zig-zag or whatever cut required. The unit is opened from the front without the need for tools.

Stick outlet – Unlike the main machines on the market, the stick outlet is the positive controlled type, due to a robot that picks the products up and places them in the transfer buckets where they are sent to the intermittent motion cartoning machine: here, the sticks can be feasibly stacked to create the required format directly based on the customer's needs. The synchro-dynamic transfer unit smoothly alternates the intermittent motion during the bucket filling phase and the continuous motion to transfer them as one block to the cartoner. The robot places the sticks in the buckets so that the conveyor chain is filled completely.

Stick rejection – The machine is able to reject the product before it is placed in the conveyor chain, subsequently reinstating it immediately in order to guarantee continuity in the production process of the machines downstream.
