Nilfisk Explosion Proof Vacuum
Nilfisk-Advance America's pneumatic explosion proof/dust ignition proof vacuum is being used in a variety of applications where it is necessary to remove hazardous debris, petrochemicals and fine powder without sparking.
The pneumatic explosion proof vacuum features a filtration system that can handle wet or dry collection. Its main filter is available in either stainless steel mesh or anti-static stainless steel-blended polyester to assure conductivity. The vacuum cleaner can be equipped with an optional grounded HEPA or ULPA filter, retaining 99.999% of all ultrafine (toxic or nuisance) particles, down to and including 0.12 microns. In addition, an optional exhaust venting system can be added to redirect hazardous vapors.
Since the Explosion Proof Vacuum Cleaner utilizes compressed air, it can be used where electricity is not available or desirable. The vacuum cleaner features a venturi with no moving parts, making it virtually maintenance free The venturi power head supplies 150" of waterlift with a ½ " air line at 80 p.s.i. Although the vacuum cleaner features strong suction power, it still maintains a low noise level, not exceeding 78 dB(A) at a distance of 10 feet from the cleaner.
The vacuum is also equipped with a spark-proof trolley, featuring conductive wheels and a protective foam-padded handle. Debris may be safely collected directly into the 19-gallon, food grade tank, made of non-sparking stainless steel. An optional drain valve allows liquid debris to be disposed of easily. Special non-sparking conductive accessories, including overhead and floor cleaning tools, hoses and brushes, are also available. To ensure conductivity, the vacuum comes standard with a ground continuity tester.
