Norwegian wastewater treatment company opens an office in the United States

We are pleased to announce Kaldnes Miljoteknologi AS has opened a sales office in the United States. Kaldnes North America, located in Providence, Rhode Island, is a manufacturer of biological wastewater treatment systems for municipalities and industries around the world.

The Kaldnes Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor or MBBR as it is often called, is a fixed film process that utilizes suspended plastic media to breed microorganisms, which decompose organic matter in wastewater thus removing COD, BOD and toxicity. The process has proven successful in the food processing, chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, textile and manufacturing industries as well as municipal applications.

The MBBR process is ideal for retrofits of existing or unused tankage or for use anywhere space is at a premium. The MBBR is capable of taking up substantially less space than that of a conventional treatment plant.
