Pall Corporation launches Mustang Ion Exchange Modules

Pall Biopharmaceuticals, a Division of Pall Corporation, has launched Mustang Ion Exchange Modules. These Modules provide high performance chromatography at low pressure. The modules have ~1 cm bed heights and are pre-packed with 80 layers of either sulfonic acid (S) or quaternary ammonium (Q) membranes. This innovative "column" breaks the mold of traditional chromatography. At 1 to 3 column volumes per min the pressure is only 20 -60 psi. Even at these speeds Mustang Modules can still match the resolution of HPLC columns. Mustang Modules can take incredible loads of large molecules like plasmids; even at 75% loading capacity they still achieve reasonable separation.

The Mustang Modules are available in three sizes: 10ml, 100ml, and 1 liter.
