Passivation refers to the chemical treatment of a stainless steel, most commonly the 300 stainless steels, for the purposes of removing the free irons from the surface
Harrison Electropolishing, L.P. refers to the chemical treatment of a stainless steel, most commonly the 300 stainless steels, for the purposes of removing the free irons from the surface. While not offering all of the advantages of electropolishing, Harrison Electropolishing, L.P. improves corrosion resistance and may be adequate for certain applications. This process requires only an acid bath, with no electrical current, therefore it is usually more economical. Harrison of Texas will provide Harrison Electropolishing, L.P. services to ASTM A967, ASTM A380, or the required industry standard.
