About Us
PBM, Inc. is a 100 year-old, privately owned company, located just east of Pittsburgh in Irwin, Pennsylvania. PBM is known for the quality and flexibility of our product line, as well as our dedication to solving fluid control problems and applications through the design, manufacturing, and marketing of quality-engineered ball valves, cavity-free valves, automation products, and services.

Focus on Quality
PBM is an ISO 9001 certified company. We pride ourselves on consistently meeting and exceeding the expectations of our customers.

Comprehensive Product Line
PBM offers a comprehensive ball valve line for optimum performance in controlling and automating process lines. Our product lines are available in sizes from 1/4" to 8" and in 18 basic metals and alloys. We offer a variety of trim and soft part materials, 23 types of end fittings, and both pneumatic and electric actuation packages.

Unique Features
PBM valves offer the convenience of standard features with the option of customizing for a specific process. Most PBM valves incorporate our exclusive Adjust-O-Seal® design, which allows inline valve adjustment to compensate for normal wear on seats and seals. This feature reduces downtime, maintenance, and repair costs by increasing the time between seat replacement.

Certain PBM valves provide Clean-in-Place capability for applications in which material can become trapped in the body cavity or where it may be necessary to sanitize the valve with steam or clean the valve with a cleansing agent. Only PBM has the ability to provide Clean-in-Place/Steam-in-Place capability without process interruption.

Pulp & Paper Solutions
PBM offers many innovative solutions that solve specific problems in the pulp and paper industry, including:

The Transmitter Isolation Valve, or TIV, prevents liquor vapor and pulp stock from distorting pressure and level transmitter readings. A direct replacement for faulty knife gate valves, the TIV also reduces downtime and maintenance, and increases reading accuracy.

PBM's Sampling Flush Tank Valve takes clean samples every time while the valve remains operational. Ideal for kraft and fine pulping applications, this valve features a specially designed pad that minimizes dead space between the ball and the inner wall of the pipe.

PBM's ANSI Clean-in-Place Valve has purge ports and either one or three specially milled flats on the ball. This design minimizes coating and plugging by pulp stock and reduces costs by allowing cleaning in place.
