When developing new cell and gene therapy drugs and mRNA-based vaccines, it is necessary to store the substances at extremely low temperatures. This raises the question of how the tightness of the containers can be guaranteed at these temperatures.

Challenges at low temperatures

Very low temperatures not only lead to a change in the size of the container components and the fluids contained but can also affect the mechanical properties. As a result, the integrity of containers can be jeopardized by storage in cold conditions.

Our approach

We use vacuum-based methods such as helium mass spectrometry and optical emission spectroscopy to test the integrity of your containers even at extremely low temperatures.

Find out more about our innovative approach for the integrity testing of containers and their closures (CCIT) at low temperatures in our presentation ‘Secure Container Closure Integrity at Lowest Temperatures’ by Lukas Engel on 14 June at 10 am in Hall 4, Facette - 3rd Via at ACHEMA.
