Pharm-Eco is a full-service drug synthesis and pharmaceutical chemistry outsourcing services company that performs a variety of laboratory, process scale-up, and manufacturing tasks under strict confidentiality, including development of processes and synthesis routes for new medicinal products, validating bulk pharmaceutical processes, and authoring Drug Master Files. Pharm-Eco adheres to industry-standard current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). Pharm-Eco's special expertise is in the area of early stage process development (PreClinical to Phase III), small molecule work, chiral chemistry including separations using Simulated Moving Bed technology, and combinatorial chemistry. Our special capabilities in the area of custom synthesis of compounds has led to our reputation as a fine chemical developer.

Founded in 1972, Pharm-Eco is based in Devens, MA, with a pilot plant/small volume manufacturing site located in North Andover, MA. The plant consists of two reactor suites. We have 22 labs with a capacity to expand to 52. Our pilot plant will contain ten reactor suites; within those suites there will be up to 500 gallon reactors with a total capacity of 50 metric tons per year of multi-step synthesis of API.

Pharm-Eco's clients are divided among prominent pharmaceutical companies, federal government agencies, research institutes and universities. Since its inception, Pharm-Eco has been an integral part of many disease treatment and medicinal advancements, including synthesizing landmark drugs and drug processes for the National Cancer Institute, the US Army and the federally-funded AIDS program. Pharm-Eco's involvement has led to the commercial success of DDI and DDC for anti-HIV therapy.
