The company held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, May 27 1999, at 11:00 a.m. at its new facility, located in the Center at Monocacy at 5104 Pegasus Court, Suite E, Frederick, MD 21704.

Phoenix Imperative Inc. already has numerous clients in the area, including MedImmune, Inc.; Human Genome Sciences, Inc.; BioReliance Corporation; Genetic Therapy, Inc.; Life Technologies, Inc.; Bio Science Contract Production Corp., the National Cancer Institute-Frederick Cancer Research and Development Center (NCI-FCRDC) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Recent project activities have included facility renovation, new facility design, process engineering, construction administration, validation and implementation of compliance programs. All facilities and compliance activities are required to meet current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) as defined by federal law and enforced by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

"Because of our commitment to the entire Mid-Atlantic region, we felt it was necessary to have a Maryland office in addition to our corporate headquarters in Delaware to better serve the needs of companies in Maryland's High Technology Corridor," said Richard F Geoghegan Jr, President/CEO/Chairman. "Frederick, because it's convenient to Baltimore, Washington, and Northern Virginia, is the logical place to situate our new facility," Geoghegan continued.

"We expect to initially employ about 20 professionals in our Frederick office. We hope to double our corporate staff to about 100 as we move into the new millennium." Geoghegan continued. "We are very excited about becoming part of the Frederick community."
