Predesigned MGB Probe Assays For Gene Expression Analysis

Probe length, quencher choice, and assay design each shape how cleanly a qPCR assay separates signal from noise. These predesigned gene expression assays use a hydrolysis probe with a minor groove binder and Eclipse Dark Quencher at the 3′ end, a combination intended to improve specificity for SNPs, splice variants, and closely related gene family members. Designs span exon-exon junctions whenever possible, exclude known SNP positions, and capture as many transcript variants as possible. Assays are verified for one-step and two-step RT-qPCR, and a predesigned option exists for every protein-coding gene.
