These proteins serve as custom assay reagents, protein standards, vaccine antigens, and tools to enhance our understanding of biology and pharmacology.

Protein Expression

  • Construct design for any expression system
  • Protein expression using bacterial (E.coli), insect cells (Sf9, Sf21 or Tni), mammalian cells (HEK293 or CHO) or yeast (P. pastoris or S. cerevisiae)
  • Culturing and expression in shaking flasks, 0 – 50L
  • Large-scale fermentation (up to 2000L) is available through Curia development sites

Protein Purification

  • Purification using Cytiva™ ӒKTA Pure™ or ӒKTA Avant™ FPLC, Bio-Rad™ NGC or Waters™ Preparative HPLC systems
  • Purification from cytosol, conditioned media or inclusion bodies
  • Extensive experience producing enzymes, membrane proteins and particularly challenging proteins, for example Huntingtin (HTT) and Huntington’s disease (HD) related proteins

  • SDS-PAGE, Western blot and ProteinSimple™ Jess™
  • UHPLC-SEC-UV-MALS-RI
  • Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS)
  • RP-HPLC
  • Endotoxin measurement by LAL assay
  • Bioactivity assessment by biochemical, biophysical or ligand-displacement assay
  • Protein thermal shift (PTS)
  • Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) by Biacore™
  • Intact mass by Sciex™ 6600 TripleTOF® LC-MS, Thermo Scientific™ – Orbitrap Exploris™ LC-MS or Bruker™ UltrafleXtreme MALDI-TOF/TOF MS
  • Peptide mapping by Thermo Scientific™ – Orbitrap Exploris™ LC-MS
  • High resolution structure determination of proteins or protein-ligand complexes by X-ray diffraction or cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM).
