Quadro is pleased to announce the sale of our "one-step milling and conveying" system to a large generic pharmaceutical company. This is the tenth system supplied to the same organization which further validates Quadro as a reliable supplier.

The system comprises a Quadro® Comil® and a Quadro Vac® connected in series. The Quadro® Comil® was equipped with a vacuum infeed chute for connection to a sanitary flexible hose and a pick-up wand. The discharge of the Comil® was connected to the Quadro Vac®.

The operator uses the pick-up wand to "pick-up" product from bags for milling in the Comil®. As the product is processed through the Comil®, it is instantaneously drawn away by vacuum to the Quadro Vac® Receiver mounted above an IBC, in a separate room.

The benefits include a "dust-free" environment. Operators no longer need to lift the bags to the mill's inlet and transfer the milled product to the IBC. The Comil® also ran at a low noise level (<80 dB) which eliminated the need to wear hearing protection.
