Cooling towers often require both conductivity and pH control. Operation at high cycles of concentration may coat or foul conventional conductivity sensors. The 200CR PLUS provides the choice of pH sensors plus four-electrode or inductive conductivity sensors, which are much less affected by coating, giving accurate measurement under adverse conditions.

Water treatment measurements on raw water before filtration may be affected by turbidity and silt that leave deposits on conductivity sensors. Four-electrode technology enables reliable measurement with minimal cleaning while the two-electrode titanium concentric cell is suited for pure water. Both can be used simultaneously.

Recycle and wastewater treatment systems using pH, ORP, conductivity and/or total dissolved solids can be instrumented efficiently. Any two parameters plus temperature can be included in a single instrument, with full flexibility in assigning alarm/control relays and analog output signals. Conductivity measurement using inductive or four-electrode sensors assures accurate measurement while minimizing maintenance.

Process fluids that involve both pure water and water with suspended solids can benefit from two- or four-electrode and inductive conductivity measurements in a single instrument. One 200CR PLUS instrument can measure before and after filtration or another operation, simultaneously, with the optimum sensor at each location.

Features:

  • Two channels of pH, ORP, two- and four-electrode conductivity/resistivity, and inductive conductivity in one instrument
  • Calibration with NIST and ASTM traceability
  • The wide rangeability of the 200CR PLUS enables high purity conductivity sensors to be calibrated in ASTM standard solutions, even for high purity applications.
  • Field-selectable, application-specific temperature compensation
  • Non-compensated measurement also standard
  • High purity to % concentration ranges
  • 200 ft sensor-to-instrument cable length on most sensors
  • Two optional isolated current outputs plus RS232 or RS422
  • Up to 4 relays with individually selectable parameter, setpoint, hysteresis, and delay
  • Selectable function security
  • NEMA 4X, IP65 enclosure and connectors
  • Meets CSA/NRTL (ANSI/UL standards) and CE requirements

Benefits:

  • Single instrument for pure water, process, and wastewater measurements with appropriate sensors:
    • Inductive conductivity sensor of ceramic for chemical resistance and temperature response
    • Compact four-electrode conductivity sensor with non-fouling flat surface
    • Precise two-electrode NPT, retractable, and sanitary conductivity sensors for all pure water applications
    • Process pH and ORP sensors for submersion or insertion mounting with self-cleaning flat surface
    • High purity pH sensor for stable side-stream measurement
  • Easy operation with text-based menus
  • One instrument model for pH, ORP, conductivity/resistivity, temperature, total dissolved solids, % rejection, difference, ratio, % NaOH, HCl, and H2SO4
