Remcon ADDGARD® Pedestrian Safety Barriers - Plastic

As a result of more stringent enforcement of federal MUTCD requirements developed in conjunction with the Americans With Disabilities Act, utilities and public works departments are using ADDGARD Pedestrian Safety Barriers to avoid unnecessary fines. ADDGARDs help prevent disabled individuals from entering potentially hazardous maintenance or work areas by completely and effectively surrounding the immediate site. A continuous "tapping" rail along the bottom of the unit allows blind pedestrians with canes to navigate safely around open manhole covers and other harmful obstacles. ADDGARD is in compliance with MUTCD standards.

When used properly, ADDGARD barricades, made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plastic, can reduce accidents and liability exposure for utility companies, public works departments and other safety-conscious organizations.
