Founded at the beginning of 1999, by former employees of Molecular Simulations (MSI), SciTegic set out to develop a system to specifically address the challenges emerging in high-throughput data analysis. They concluded that a new generation of software, unencumbered with the performance compromises inherent in legacy systems, was needed. With an innovative new design, SciTegic has developed a software system with unparalleled speed and flexibility, and in the process created a new approach to informatics, "Data Pipelining".
