Pressurex film allows for rapid and easy determination of pressure magnitude and distribution between any two mating or contacting surfaces. It is virtually indispensable for manufacturing process control and machine/component inspection. Pressurex also aids in quality control for applications such as validation and calibration of sealing die pressure during pharmaceutical packaging, and helps fulfill GMP compliance by revealing weak spots, channels and wrinkles at the sealing surface. Pressurex film measures pressure from 2 - 43,000 PSI (0.14 - 3,000 kg/cm2 ). When placed between two contacting surfaces, the film instantaneously and permanently changes color. This color change is directly proportional to the actual pressure applied. Precise pressure magnitude is easily determined by comparing the resultant color intensity to a color correlation chart (conceptually similar to interpreting Litmus paper). No training or instrumentation is required.
