Datasheet: 8M MultiTest System

The 8M MultiTest System consists of a standard Pharmatron Model 8M tablet tester, a Mitutoyo Digimatic thickness gauge and a Mettler analytical balance.

The operator can test and accumulate data for up to 100 tablets per test. Since the system is manually fed, there is no problem with the orientation of odd shaped tablets.

After weighing the tablet on the Mettler balance, transfer them to the carousel mounted on top of the 8M. With one hand on the control button and the other turning the carousel, position and measure the tablet's thickness using the mounted Mitutoyo Digimatic thickness gauge, then transfer the tablet to the 8M and diameter and hardness will be measured in a single operation.

With very little practice you can test tablets in this manner as fast as any automatic tablet tester.
