Datasheet: SK Series SprayDry® Nozzles

SK Series SprayDry nozzles produce a hollow cone spray pattern with a very uniform drop size distribution. They also offer a choice of drop sizes that are controlled by the nozzle's capacity and pressure. Ideal for commercial spray drying of powders in the dairy, food processing, chemical, biochemical, and pharmaceutical industries, the nozzles are suitable for use in all types of spray dryers, flow systems, and open- and closed-cycle installations.

SK Series SprayDry nozzles are available in three models, each with different design features to meet your needs. The cap of the SKH-MFP can be easily tightened by hand and the maximum free passage (MFP) cap and core resist clogging. The SK-MFP is a maximum free passage version. The SK nozzle is a reliable, basic spray dry nozzle without the maximum free passage or hand-tight features.

Featuring a choice of 145 interchangeable orifice insert/core combinations, the nozzles feature capacity sizes based on water spraying from 3.9 to 151 gph at 1000 psi (14.9 to 576 l/hr at 70 bar) with spray angles from 45° to 90°. Larger capacity orifice insert/core combinations can be used at lower pressures to minimize nozzle and pump wear. Maximum pressure is 7000 psi (450 bar).
