Cap Welding Machines For Blow-Fill-Seal Equipment

Cap welding equipment is used where the BFS machine is producing a Large Volume Parenteral container with the so-called «Eurohead».

The bottle is sealed when leaving the machine.

In order to allow the tight connection with the giving set spike after perforation a «Eurocap» is sealed on top of the container. The cap contains a rubber disc. The spike penetrates through the disc and the sealed bottle top. There is no contact between the rubber and the solution, eliminating the risk of particles generated by the rubber. The inside of the cap is sterile after terminal sterilization.

A transfer unit takes the bottles off the conveyor belt of the bottelpack® machine and places them on the conveyor system of the welding machine. This conveyor system loads the containers into the welding unit. Simultaneously, the plastic caps are automatically made available.

Within the welding unit, the bottles and caps are fixed in position and plasticized at the joining point with the mirror welding unit.

In this way, bottle and cap are welded together homogeneously without adding foreign material.
