Small Radar Sensors

The company, a market leader in radar level measuring, offers a generation of small 4-20 mA two-wire radar sensors with a mounting thread of only 1½ in. This reduced size is a result of higher transmission frequency of 26GHz and a re-developed antenna system.

The usual dimensions of horn antennas with a diameter of 150mm have been reduced by a quarter of its original size. These small dimensions are of a distinct advantage especially for small vessels with sockets. The radar sensors can be easily adapted to small openings and no vessel modification is necessary. Because of the small antenna length there is no minimum distance necessary between product and sensor. The vessel volume can be fully utilized and processes become more effective.

The small Vegapuls 40 series extends the field of applications suited to this universal sensor technology especially with storage tanks and small measuring ranges.
