Software optimizes process setpoint changes and steady state

ExperTune process analyzer and tuner software from ExperTune Inc. (Hubertus, WI) optimizes plants for all of these scenarios. ExperTune's product combines a setpoint filter with optimal steady state tuning. The setpoint filter is active only during setpoint changes, allowing users to select ExperTune's optimal tuning for process upsets.

With PID settings in place, the feedback control loop is tightened to its utmost, giving excellent steady state optimization. The setpoint filter ensures the loop also reacts well to plant startups and switchovers. Engineers can simulate the effects of the setpoint filter off-line before applying it to the process. Adjusting the filter amount produces an immediate change in closed loop response.
ExperTune also creates a report of the entire loop optimization, including all analysis graphs, performance indices, loop diagnosis, and the setpoint filter in a Microsoft Word document. The report documents the loop for future records.
ExperTune provides a full suite of optimization tools to analyze and tune PID loops in any industrial controller. ExperTune includes powerful simulation, modeling, robustness, linearization, valve wear analysis, pH linearizer, time series analysis, multivariable, statistical, frequency response and loop tuning tools.
