Solids flowmeters provide continuous in-line weighing of dry bulk solids contributing to improved quality of the end product, increased operating efficiency and significant cost savings. All models produce repeatable results and may be used for critical functions such as batch loadout and blending.
Operating in conjunction with an integrator, solids flowmeters provide a display of rate and totalized flow, and alarms. Outputs are 0/4-20mA proportional to rate and contact closure for remote totalization. Digital communications are available for interface to central control systems. These low maintenance units can monitor powders and granules up to 25mm (1 in.) in diameter. Flow rates can range from 450 kg/hour to 2000 metric tons/hour (1000 lbs./hour to 2200 ST/ hour).
Typical materials monitored include cement, sand, wheat, sugar, feed meal, plastic pellets, wood chips, coal, rice and flyash.
