Solvent Monitoring System

Source: Servomex Company Incorporated
The Servomex solvent recovery monitoring system provides a continuous measurement of trace water in the recovered solvent.
Steam, used to recapture expensive solvents adsorbed on activated charcoal scrubbers, introduces unwanted water into the recovered solvent. The solvent recovery system then separates the solvent from this entrained water. If the concentration of residual water in the recovered solvent is too high, equipment corrosion and lowered product quality results.

The Servomex solvent recovery monitoring system provides a continuous measurement of trace water in the recovered solvent. The highly sensitive infrared analyzer measures water levels down to a few parts per million allowing corrective action to be taken before a rising level of water background can contaminate the recovered solvent and result in lost equipment and product. Continuous monitoring of water in recovered solvents can prevent the unnecessary waste of expensive solvents, eliminate the cost and environmental impact contaminated solvent disposal, increase the lifetime of process equipment, and assure the desired high quality of pharmaceutical product.

In addition to water in solvent monitoring, Servomex offers economical solutions to inert gas monitoring, combustion control, and continuous emissions monitoring.
