Sporicidin International

The Company: Sporicidin International was formed in 1977 to engage in the manufacture and distribution of infection control products sold under the registered trademark, "Sporicidin."

The Inventor: Dr. Robert Schattner, the developer of Sporicidin products, received his D.D.S. degree from the University of Pennsylvania. After serving in the U.S. Public Health Service, he practiced dentistry for 10 years in Bayside, NY. While engaged in practice, he developed the widely known Chloraseptic Mouthwash. Dr. Schattner marketed Chloraseptic until it was sold to The Norwich Pharmacal Company. Currently, Chloraseptic is marketed by Procter and Gamble. Dr. Schattner has received numerous citations, including recognition in the Congressional Record for his work with the mentally retarded and the blind. In 1984, he was honored as "Dentist of the Year" by the Association of Entrepreneurial Dentists.

Manufacturing: Sporicidin products are produced according to FDA "Good Manufacturing Practices."

Distribution: Sporicidin products have been sold through the major hospital, medical, dental, industrial and safety supply companies since 1978. Sporicidin Europe, a joint venture, distributes Sporicidin products in the European Community.
