CRB’s Steve Pflantz has been named a 2025 ISA Fellow by the International Society of Automation (ISA). This honor is one of ISA’s highest recognitions and is reserved for individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the automation profession.

Pflantz was recognized for his innovative development and implementation of a mentorship model that equips early-career professionals with practical, real-time problem-solving skills. His approach emphasizes applied learning, empowering the next generation of automation engineers with tools and experiences rooted in real-world challenges.

Pflantz is a CRB Fellow in Process Automation & Safety, bringing 38 years of experience in electrical, instrumentation, and controls system design for biopharma facilities. As part of CRB’s Fellowship program, he helps guide technical strategy, mentor emerging talent, and support clients through complex, high-stakes projects. His industry leadership includes serving as chair of the Automation Federation and president of the International Society of Automation in 2017—demonstrating his lasting impact on the automation profession.
