Syncor, Advanced Isotope Corp. Ink Distribution Agreement

Syncor International Corp. (Woodland Hills, CA) was named as the exclusive distributor for the FDG radioisotope used for positron emission tomography (PET) medical imaging that will be produced by two new Advanced Isotope Corp. cyclotron sites located in Ft. Lauderdale and Orlando, FL. The Ft. Lauderdale facility is expected to open within 90 days and the Orlando facility approximately 30 days later.

The agreement enhances Syncor's domestic PET strategy, which includes FDG distribution agreements with PETNet Pharmaceutical Service LLC, Massachusetts General Hospital, the University of Southern California, and the University of Texas, whereby Syncor has been granted similar distribution rights for PET radiotracers produced by those facilities. Advancing technology and increased government approved reimbursement are playing a role in the wider acceptance and availability of PET.

Syncor International Corp. is a provider of high technology health care services concentrating on nuclear pharmacy services, medical imaging, and radiotherapy.
