Tablet Analyzer Model StepOne

StepOne is a new approach in automated testing of pharmaceutical tablets. It combines the proven automation of the Pharmatron Autotest 4 tablet testing system with the performance of Bruker Optics FT-NIR technology.

The Autotest 4 provides tablet weight, thickness, diameter, and hardness measurements and the FT-NIR provides rapid, non-destructive potency and content uniformity determination.

The process begins when tablets are either automatically sampled directly from a press or manually placed in the Autotest 4 tablet sample feeder.

Tablets are automatically conveyed along each test station. The first position is where the FT-NIR measurement of potency prediction is made. The sample then proceeds to the weight, thickness, diameter and hardness measurement stations.
