Technibilt Ltd./Cari-All
Technibilt was founded in 1946 in Burbank, California to meet the needs of an expanding shopping cart market. The superior design, innovation and quality of the Company's products led to its' rapid growth and position as one of the leading shopping cart manufacturers in the United States. Innovation included the child seat concept which is still the standard in the market today. The design allowed the carts to be nested and still provided a suitable seat for small children. Realizing the value of the design, the concept was patented and licensed to other cart companies.
The Company Today
The Company is owned and managed by the Trubianos from their holding company, Norderon, Inc., located in Montreal, Canada. Norderon oversees Cari-All, Technibilt and Rondi Industries. Rondi Industries manufactures and markets a variety of plastic components including Sof-Runner wheels, plastic handles, leghole closures, plastic strips and bumpers for shopping carts. They also produce many of the customized manufacturing machines utilized by both Cari-All and Technibilt. Owning a plastics company provides the company with significant control over its final products.
Overall, Norderon has close to 1,000 employees, and 1,000,000 square feet of manufacturing facilities. Plans are underway to expand in the near future.
Sales and Marketing
The Company currently markets its products worldwide through a combination of company sales persons, agents, factory representatives, dealers and distributors. All products are manufactured in Montreal or Newton, but the Company also operates distribution facilities in China, France and Mexico.
