The First-Ever International Pharmaceutical And Biotechnology Exhibition Comes To Dubai
With its current global market value standing at $460bn, it is estimated that by 2009, the industry will serge to $625bn.
The total value of the Middle East market currently stands in excess of $10bn and is registering growth rates of 15-18%.
A huge boom in the biotechnology industry in the region is predicted to occur over the coming years, once again through private and public investment.
In response to this IIR Middle East, the organisers of Arab Health, are launching the first International Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Exhibition - PABME in the region.
Designed to be an international destination where business cultures and ideas can meet, PABME is the region's only event that is being formatted as a major exhibition, with a multi-disciplinary conference running alongside to cater to global markets.
'PABME will showcase a wide spectrum of products and services to cater to all businesses associated with the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries,' said Simon Page, Director of Life Sciences at IIR Middle East. 'The event will offer companies the perfect opportunity to find new business contacts and gain further recognition worldwide.'
Participants at PABME will get to meet and do business with not only the global key industry decision makers but also the Middle East, one of the world's fastest growing regions for pharmaceutical manufacturing.
The event is expected to be the preferred destination for all international Pharma and Biotech industries. With non-stop flights from Europe, India, China and North America serving Dubai, companies and participants will be placed at the hub of the pharmaceutical and biotech world.
'This exhibition is like a shot in the arm for Middle East pharmaceutical manufacturers,' said Dr B.R Shetty, Managing Director and CEO of Neopharma in the UAE. ' Thanks to this unique gathering, companies such as Neopharma now have their own exclusive platform to showcase, share and discuss the region's world-class manufacturing processes'.
Running alongside the exhibition, the PABME congress will bring together senior decision makers, scientists, marketers and the sales force to tackle global and regional issues.
The key areas covered in this year's launch event will include drug discovery, clinical trials and manufacturing through to biologics, devices, global licensing and regulatory aspects.
'The congress will play an important part in establishing PABME as a must-attend event for everyone, whether they are involved in drug discovery, research and development, sales and marketing, manufacturing, or strategy planning,' said Ben Harris, PABME Conference Manager.
Delegates attending the PABME conferences will be given the opportunity to discuss what East and West can learn from each other, as well as benefiting from a diverse range of opinions and experiences brought by some of the leading experts in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology business.
In addition to the conferences, an eCTD workshop is being held where attendees can learn about the opportunities the document management system can bring and the constraints and pitfalls to be aware of.
The total system requirements will be explained, as well as the possibility to address them by adding one module at a time, keeping the bigger picture in mind.
Already in the Middle East there estimated to be over 450 pharmaceutical manufacturers, a figure that is growing dramatically year on year.
Visitors to PABME will be able to access not only this market but will also be able to reach all the global manufactures in an unprecedented networking and business opportunity.
