Product Brochure: Thermocompression Stills

The Mascarini Thermocompression Stills produce distilled water for injectable use which meets the requirements of the International Pharmacopoeias including USP, EP, JP, with capacity up to 4.500 lt/h.

The still is basically constituted by:

• an evaporator/condenser shall and tube type
• an evaporation column based on the principle of the "gravitational separation" of the droplets/contaminats, granting very high performances in terms of WFI quality
• a number of heat exchangers for heat recovery (from distillate, concentrate and even non condesable gases)
• an extremely efficient degassing column
• the pure steam compressor. The compressor, lobe type of exclusive Stilmas' design, is constructed in a self passivating bronze alloy nickel plated. Such construction, inert to the pure steam, grants very high performances in terms of WFI quality. The execution of the compressor, of easy construction and characterized by low speed and extremely limited mechanical wear and stress, allows for minimum and very simple maintenance.

The Mascarini Thermocompression Still is designed and constructed according to cGMP requirements, including use of SS316L, surface finishing ranging from "pickled and passivated" to mechanical or electro polishing, mirror polished piping with full orbital welding, use of FDA approved materials for gaskets, fully drainability of the system.
