Tripos and Advanced ChemTech Link Design, Synthesis Systems
Tripos, Inc. (St. Louis, MO) and Advanced ChemTech (Louisville, KY) will now provide file exchange between Tripos' molecular design systems and Advanced ChemTech's robotics systems for automated chemical synthesis.
Synthesis automation technologies performed by Advanced ChemTech's robotics will be enhanced by Tripos' software design capabilities. The interactive process of library design and high throughput compound synthesis, followed by analysis of synthesis output, is intended to save time from redundant or wasted synthesis. Advanced ChemTech's robotic software will have compatible file formats with Tripos' design software for improved data exchange.
"We see this as an important opportunity for our customers to combine two critical technologies in their discovery research process," said Trevor Heritage, vice president of software product research and development at Tripos. "By offering seamless links between molecular design and synthesis systems, we are facilitating a more efficient process in using design technologies with automated chemical synthesis. The result will maximize our customers' research dollars," he added.
