London, Ontario -- Trojan Technologies Inc. announced the launch of the revolutionary TrojanUVLogic™ Pharma – the first UV system designed for pharmaceutical applications that fully complies with every one of the stringent requirements of the industry. Developed in consultation with major original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and pharmaceutical companies, it is an extension of Trojan's worldwide leadership in the application of UV technology.

The eight TrojanUVLogic™ Pharma models treat flow rates from 44 GPM (10 m 3 /h) up to 1,012 GPM (230 m 3 /h) with a single reactor.

"Our new pharma units incorporate leading edge thinking in terms of design, flexibility and application," said Marvin DeVries, President of Trojan Technologies. "They meet the high purity water needs, as well as the consistency and validation requirements, of the pharmaceutical industry."

UV treatment is used for disinfection, TOC reduction and ozone and chlorine destruction of process water. Ondeo Industrial Solutions, an internationally recognized water treatment company in Stuttgart, Germany, was quick to incorporate the TrojanUVLogic™ Pharma in their water treatment systems.

"We use Trojan's new pharma system for biological reduction within the plant and also for ozone reduction," says Florian Spribille, Project Manager, Process and Ultra-Pure Water Plants for Ondeo. "The unit has numerous applications within our process and, combined with Trojan's excellent service and short delivery periods, we're very pleased with our experience."
